Register and use a Sender ID

How branded names get approved, what to wait for, and where the ID is used.

For Anyone sending branded SMS

  1. 1

    Choose a name

Pick a short brand name recipients will recognise. Avoid impersonating banks, networks, or government. Most routes expect letters (sometimes digits) within carrier length limits.

  2. 2

    Submit from the dashboard

Go to Dashboard → Sender ID → request a new ID. Status will show pending until an admin reviews it.

  3. 3

    Wait for approval

Typical review is 1–2 business days. Rejected IDs include a reason — fix the name and resubmit rather than sending from an unapproved ID.

  4. 4

    Use only approved IDs

Select the approved Sender ID in Send SMS, campaigns, Smart Forms, WordPress, Google Forms SMS, and the API sender field. Unapproved IDs are blocked on routes that require registration.

Notes

  • If checkout or OTP SMS is silent after setup, check Sender ID status before blaming the plugin or API key.
