Connect Google Drive & Sheets to SplitSMS: Import Excel and Export Campaign Data
Link Google Drive to SplitSMS to import Sheets or Excel files for bulk SMS, then export Smart Forms responses straight to a new Google Sheet.
Most Ghana businesses keep contact lists in Google Sheets or Excel files sitting in Drive. Copy-pasting hundreds of phone numbers into a messaging tool wastes time and creates typos. SplitSMS Connect Google lets you browse Drive, pick a Sheet or spreadsheet file, map the phone column, and either import contacts or jump straight into Send SMS.
The same Google connection powers Smart Forms export: one click creates a spreadsheet with your responses so operations and marketing teams can filter, chart, and share without downloading CSVs first.
How Google Drive import works
From Dashboard → Integrations → Google, connect your Google account (separate from Sign in with Google). When you open Contacts → Import, choose Browse Google Drive. SplitSMS lists recent Sheets and Excel files you can access, previews phone numbers, and lets you import as contacts or open the Send SMS composer with those recipients.
Column mapping prefers headers like Phone, Mobile, or Tel. Name columns are detected when present. Invalid or duplicate numbers follow the same rules as CSV import so your campaigns stay clean.
Export Smart Forms to Google Sheets
Open any form’s Responses page and click Export to Google Sheets. SplitSMS creates a spreadsheet titled with your form name and today’s date, writes headers plus up to thousands of rows, and stores the Sheet link on the export record.
This is ideal for schools collecting fee interest forms, churches registering events, or agencies handing lead sheets to clients who live in Google Workspace.
Security and permissions
Connect Google uses incremental OAuth scopes. You grant Sheets and Drive access only when you use those features—not at login. Disconnect anytime under Integrations → Google; feature settings remain but require a reconnect before syncing again.
Refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. SplitSMS never asks you to paste a script into Drive or share files publicly.
Get started
Create a SplitSMS account, approve a Sender ID, then open Integrations → Google. After you connect, try importing a small Sheet with test numbers before your first live blast.
